Please pray that our 48 year old son Michael receives his deliverance today from drug addiction. This has been his struggle since he was 17 years old. A few weeks ago he took the step towards recovery for the first time and I feel like the system failed him by only keeping him for 24 hours. He was given medication and an appointment to see a doctor in 30 days. I'm not sure why but his girlfriend told me that he has stopped taking his medication.
His loving and kind heart personality has changed with the drugs he's now using.
Over the years he's gone silent on us but then reappears. During his silence God has been faithful to give me a point of contact to at least know that he was alive and doing okay.
He and his girlfriend live together and until recently she was afraid to contact us about his behavior. He's not answering my calls or responding to texts.
I would be lying to say that I'm not worried. This feels different to me and as a mother my heart is really heavy in this season.
