Hi: I have a troubled heart, my spirits are broken. Not only am I the caregiver for my sister who is fighting pancreatic cancer stage 4, I just learned from my son this morning that my 16 year old granddaughter has been cutting in herself. My son and daughter-in-law was called to my granddaughter’s school yesterday because she was in the Nurse office with severe cuts on both her legs. Blood was everywhere. Sage went in the school bathroom and cut on herself, then went to the Nurse’s office for help. They found sharp scissors in her backpack and a vapor pen. Sage has been depressed for years, anxiety, picky eater, and ADHD. They have been getting her counseling, but the cutting is new. Found out it’s not the first time either, but these cuts were so deep they had to take her to the ER to get stitches. My heart breaks for her. Sage is quiet, but she has been hanging around the wrong crowds. Please pray for my family and my granddaughter. I am overwhelmed with sadness, daily.
